As Morgan and I both have a thing for great wines made with minimal intervention, this month we’re partnering with our friends Joel Amos and Ray De Souza at DRNKS (also the sole stockists of Morgan’s gorgeous pottery). They’ve put together a killer 4-bottle deal with one bottle each of bubbles, white, rosé and red, RRP $124, for just $99 (including delivery with your kit).

Menu 1 – Fin Wines 2021 I’m all Ears (Nagambie, Vic)
Toasty brioche and fresh fizz are a great complement to briny oysters and prawns with creamy remoulade and cheesy grits! This succulent, crisp sparkling prosecco from Box Grove Vineyard tastes of pears and lemons with an unreserved creamy finish like a freshly cracked brûlée. Dive in!
Menu 2 – Hills & Back 2021 Rosé (Adelaide Hills, SA)
This crisp, dry, pale rosé has a lively fruit core with good texture and length, perfectly balancing the richness of our deep-fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits. It’s made from two parcels of sangiovese initially fermented separately without any fining then blended three-quarters of the way through the ferment.
Menu 3 – Infringement 2022 Blanc (Heathcote, Vic)
This fresh, light pinot gris loves a bit of spice, salt and butter, so perfect with our Cajun blackened fish. The juice is fermented in tank then aged in seasoned barriques for a couple of months; there’s lemon-curd and dill on the nose, heaps of cleansing citrus on the palate, and a nice creamy finish with subtle grip.
Menu 4 – Worlds Apart 2022 Into The Black (McLaren Vale, SA)
This mid-weight shiraz is juicy and full of fruit with a savoury edge; perfect BBQ drinking chilled or not. It’s made from a single vineyard high on the ridge above McLaren Vale unfiltered with nothing added except minimal sulphur.
