This food and wine weekend kicks off with lunch at Vale Creek Wines followed by a tour and guided tasting at Renzaglia Wines with winemaker Sam Renzaglia. It includes a truffle dinner at Matt Moran’s Rockley Hotel, truffle hunt at Fish River Truffles, and lunch at the outstanding farm-to-plate restaurant Megalong Lot101.

Price for this truffle hunting weekend includes:

  • Light lunch and wine tasting at Vale Creek Wines
  • Guided wine tasting with winemaker Sam Renzaglia at Renzaglia Wines
  • Truffle dinner at Matt Moran’s Rockley Hotel with Vale Creek and Renzaglia wines
  • Hands-on truffle hunt at Fish River Truffles with truffle dog Frank and grower Carmine de Campli, who will explain all about truffle farming and hunting as well as cleaning, grading and using truffles
  • Lunch with beverage pairing at Megalong Lot101 in the Megalong Valley on the way home

Self-drive, meeting at Vale Creek cellar door for lunch on Saturday.

Accommodation is the only extra cost. The Rockley has 5 rooms with ensuites, all different with prices varying between $240 and $180 twin-share (including breakfast).

Accommodation can be arranged in Megalong Valley for anyone wishing to extend the weekend.

Went on the Duck & Pinot tour wonderfully hosted and curated by Roberta - thank you. There was a lot of duck to eat and other dishes as well. Plus I learned about wine and the people who run the restaurants. An event for multiple types of occasions. Can't wait for the next one.

What an amazing morning touring Sydney Produce Market with Roberta - meeting the growers & agents of some amazing produce & tasting things along the way. My favourites were the red & yellow prickly pears, jujubes, longans, & fresh pistachios. Next was Gozleme for breakfast in Auburn then a tour & tasting at Gima Turkish supermarket & Harkola Middle Eastern warehouse. Highly recommended.

I recently joined Roberta with friends & colleagues on the Duck & Pinot Walk - incredible afternoon visiting 3 duck restaurants, each very different to the other. Superbly organised! Roberta's first hand knowledge of each dish and her relationship with the restaurant owners made for an extremely enjoyable & memorable time. Would recommend this for families, work functions or just friends getting together.
